Fleet GPS Tracking

IoT Engineer Intern · PT Serasi Autoraya (Astra International)
Real-time fleet monitoring: GPS trackers send telemetry to Azure, an Express.js service processes it, and a Flutter app shows every vehicle on the map.
Flutter
Express.js
MongoDB
Azure IoT Hub
Azure Service Bus
Built for an employer, so the code and screenshots are confidential. This page describes the problem and my contribution; the figures come from my CV.
The problem
Fleet and rental operations needed live visibility of their vehicles, and the telemetry pipeline had to cope with unreliable mobile connections and bursts of data.
What I did
Devices send telemetry to Azure IoT Hub, which routes messages to Azure Service Bus.
Express.js consumers process the messages and store positions and trips in MongoDB.
A Flutter app shows live positions and vehicle status for operations staff.
Prototyped connected-vehicle features and designed device communication workflows with the engineering team.
Outcome
Telemetry delivery reliability and event-processing efficiency improved by 35%.
