IBID: Azure Login & API Performance

Backend Developer · PT Serasi Autoraya (Astra International)
Authentication and performance work on IBID, an automotive auction platform that runs large-scale auctions every day.
Laravel
PHP
Azure
MySQL
REST APIs
Built for an employer, so the code and screenshots are confidential. This page describes the problem and my contribution; the figures come from my CV.
The problem
Login problems were a steady source of support tickets, and some backend services had grown slow as the platform and its data grew.
What I did
Integrated Azure credential-based login into the existing authentication flow, keeping existing accounts working during the switch.
Refactored backend services and optimised heavy API endpoints: query tuning, eager loading and less work per request.
Worked in Scrum with QA engineers and operations stakeholders, from requirement to release.
Outcome
Login-related issues down 30%.
System performance up 20% after the refactoring.
